Merry Christmas Everybody!

I’ve been very busy this morning putting together the last School list for Santa and as long as nothing major happens between now and Sunday we should all be ok!

Well done Sketty Primary we’ve all made the good list!

I would like to thank all the children and the staff for their hard work in producing the fabulous Christmas Sharings (all 18 of them!)

I enjoyed every minute of them!

We have had a very busy term with very many highlights.

I would like to thank all parents/carers for all their support in particular our wonderful PTA who are doing such a great job!

All that remains for me to say  is “Merry Christmas everybody,  have a wonderful holiday and a peaceful New Year.”

I look forward with eager anticipation to an exciting 2018.

Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day

A huge Thank you to everyone for supporting Christmas Jumper Day and wearing your sweater to make the world better!

We raised a fantastic £741.90 – an amazing achievement!

Thank you all so much for your support and donations.

Christmas Jumper Competition

Thank you for all your entries, there were lots of  imaginative designs for school council to judge from, so many in fact that we had to add two new categories to recognize all the hard work and effort that everyone had gone to!

The winners will be revealed in tomorrow morning’s assembly and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 in each category.

Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day Friday 15th December 2017

Please help us to raise lots of money on Friday December 15th by wearing a Christmas jumper and donating £2 to SAVE THE CHILDREN.

Each donation can help provide children around the world with essential healthcare, education, protection and food.

The money we raise can make a huge difference to disadvantaged or disabled children who are in desperate need of help. Your support can give them the chance to be children again so please donate and ‘Wear your sweater to make the world better!’

School Council have also organised a competition to design a Christmas jumper.

Children can be as creative as they want and use a variety of mediums.

First prize – £10 TOYS ‘R’ US voucher

Second prize – Christmas goodie bag

Third prize – large selection box.

All entries to be in by Friday 15th December please.

Congratulations to our successful chess team for another outstanding competitive performance.

The team of Raymond Xie, Dylan Lewis, Daniel Cuthill, Josh Lomax, Hermachandra Kanamatapudi, Rosa MacGowan, Matthew Cuthill, Tristan Xuan, Cairan Winstanley-Thomas and Oscar Abrahams travelled to Cardiff and finished 5th out of 48 schools from the South Of Wales and West of England.

The team were fine ambassadors for Sketty School and the children thoroughly enjoyed the day.
