Swansea Foodbank Donations

At this Harvest season we are once again appealing for your generous donations of non-perishable foods to donate to the Swansea Foodbank. The appeal was introduced to the children in this week’s junior assembly. The appeal will be open for the next two weeks until Thursday 12th October. Below is a list of urgently needed food items from the Swansea Foodbank website. Thank you in anticipation for your generosity.

Sketty Primary School PTA has been accepted onto the Co-op Local Community Fund

If you shop in the Co-op you can register for a Co-op card and nominate Sketty Primary School PTA to receive 1% of everything you spend on co-op branded products whilst also receiving 5% for yourself.

Please spread the word to your classes, friends and family and tell them not to forget to nominate Sketty School PTA as your chosen local cause!  Every penny raised goes straight back into the school.

Year 5 Netball News

Netball tues 17

The Year 5 netball team had a fantastic end to the school year playing an excellent match against Parklands Primary. They showed how much they’ve improved and worked brilliantly as a team to earn an 8-4 win. Well done girls!!

CHESS NEWS

Congratulations to Sketty School Chess Team for winning the West Wales Junior Chess League for the 3rd year running.

In a nail-biting final match with St Josephs Tristan Xuan drew his game after an hour of tense play and this meant a 2 1/2 – 1 1/2 victory.

Thank you to all the squad who have played on a Wednesday night since October.

The course is suitable for all children aged 4-11 and runs from 8:45 – 15:30 Daily (Mini stars – 4 year olds finish at 13:00, SuperStars – aged 5+ finish at 15:30).
