The Primary Partners’ Concert was held in the Grand Theatre last night. It was a great evening of entertainment, with six schools performing. Our children performed items from ‘High School Musical’ . Their singing and dancing was, quite simply, outstanding. We all felt very proud. My sincere thanks to Mrs. Cook, Miss Lewis and Mrs. Stockton for giving so much of their own time to prepare the children for their performance. My thanks also to parents for helping supply costumes and supporting on the night.
Sponsorship money has been collected from the Ultra Run held before half term. The event raised a whopping £1300. This money will be used to invest in P.E., playtime and playground equipment. Thank you so much for your support. It is always greatly appreciated, but especially in a time of reducing central budgets and increasing financial pressures.
The Week Ahead
Year 1 & 2 Sports are being held on the school field next Tuesday afternoon, starting at 1.15 p.m. Let’s hope the weather improves.
The school will be taking part in the Greg Rees Memorial Tournament at Tre Uchaf School, Lougher on Thursday. Our rugby, netball and football teams will be playing fun, non competitive fixtures against a number of other schools in memory of Mr Rees, who sadly died recently. Mr Rees was an avid sportsman and coach of junior sports and we are very pleased to be participating in this event.
Have a nice weekend.
