The P.T.A held a Quiz Night last Friday evening, themed mainly on Music though the decades and Films.  It really was a cracking evening – very sociable and great fun.  Everybody who attended enjoyed the evening very much indeed.  Such was the success of the event, plans have already started to hold a similar event in the not too distant future.

Year 1 visited Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire yesterday.  The children thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the animals and learned lots of fascinating facts about the creatures that live there.  Thank you to all the parent volunteers who supported on the day.

Reception DD held a super Family Assembly this morning.  The quality of pupil work presented in the Assembly was excellent.  Well done to all the boys and girls who took part.   Every class has now presented an Assembly over the course of the year and we hope that you all have enjoyed them as much as we have.  The programme is well established now and a major highlight of the week for the school community.

The scheduled sponsored Ultra Run was postponed today due to variable weather.  It has been re-scheduled for next Friday.

The Week Ahead

Years 4 and 5 are undertaking their residential visit to Llangrannog next Monday to Wednesday.  This visit is always highly anticipated and I’m sure the boys and girls will have a fantastic time.

The Early Years (Nursery & Reception) are holding their Sports on the school field next Tuesday afternoon, starting at 1.15 p.m.  We hope for dry weather (especially after the driest April in Wales for 100 years!) and look forward to seeing you there.

The P.T.A. are holding another School Grounds Improvement morning next Saturday 20th May; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Please do come along with a spade or a paint brush and get stuck in.   The group have done outstanding work to date and it would be great to see even more of you there next week.

Have a good weekend.
