Headteacher Weekly News – 16.12.16

It’s been a busy but most enjoyable final week at school.

Years 3 & 4 held their concert on Monday evening and Years 5 & 6  on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.  All the children played their part and performed their pieces and sang their songs to a very high standard.

In total, fifteen concerts/dress rehearsals have been held and well over a thousand people have enjoyed the wide range of concerts.  All the children have been superb and we hope you enjoyed the performances as much as we did.

In between performances, Year 6 visited Winter Wonderland on Monday; whilst Years 1 & 2 went to the pantomime at Pontardawe Arts Centre on the same day.  Years 3, 4 & 5 went to Vue cinema on Tuesday.  We had Christmas dinner on Wednesday and a visit from Father Christmas.  It’s fair to say the children have worked and played very hard and must be pretty exhausted!  They will be ready for a good holiday now.

On behalf of everyone at the school, I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  School starts back for the children on Wednesday 4th January 2017.
