Yoga Club Update

Dear Parents,

Thank you for the recent interest in our kids yoga club would was very beneficial to our pupils. Unfortunately due to hall and curriculum timetable restrictions we have been unable to find a convenient time to continue with the club in school time. Rather than stopping the club altogether we have decided for it to continue it can only be run as a after school club. Huriyah has arranged a time at the United Chruch on Dillwyn Rd in Sketty on a Wednesday at 4pm. Classes would start May 17th and will be suitable for children 5-12 years old with and without additional needs and their families. The church is asking that 1-2 parents stay even if they’re not doing the class. This is in the case of an emergency and part of their safeguarding policy Huriyah has to sign in order to use the church. For further information please contact Huriyah via the following channels.

SENco/ALNco Updates

Dear Parents,

We are looking to run a yoga club in school time to help children deal with anxiety and stress. The first session is free but there is an ongoing cost of £5 per session as it is delivered by an external provider. We are primarily aiming at a junior age range and looking to support children develop their own self help strategies in difficult situations. The group will be a mixed age group open to Year 3 up to Year 6.  Spaces are limited to 17 people per session so each person participating is able to receive the necessary instructor support. The first session will be on Friday 10th February from 1:30pm to 2:15pm, and if there is enough interest further sessions will run on subsequent Friday afternoons. If you would like further information or to register an interest for your child, please contact Mr Edwards on or alternatively telephone the school 206655 to request a meeting.
