Years 1 & 2 Sports were held on Tuesday afternoon.  The weather was kind and the large crowd in attendance enjoyed the event very much.  All the boys and girls participated wholeheartedly and gave of their best, whilst having lots of fun also.  Thank you for supporting the children on the day and a big thank you to all the staff for ensuring the event ran smoothly.

Our school football, rugby and netball teams tool part in the Greg Rees Memorial event at Tre Uchaf School, Loughor yesterday.  The festival was arranged to celebrate the life of Mr Rees and the event certainly did that.  Lots of boys and girls got the chance to play  numerous fixtures against youngsters from other schools.  All participants displayed the true spirit of sport – trying hard, playing as a team and demonstrating respect for the opposition.  It was a day where the result truly did not matter.

Our school Athletics team achieved great success in the local round of the Athletics Championship on Wednesday.  The large team all produced excellent individual performances, which resulted in the school being placed first overall.  Many of the children will now go onto the next round, covering West Glamorgan.  Many congratulations to the team on their success.

Year 5 visited Port Eynon for the third time today as part of their work on the John Muir Environmental Science award.  The children are improving their environmental awareness greatly, whilst at the same time enjoying the great outdoors.  Their fourth and final day is a week today.
